Girl On A Mission – Entering Chapter 27

April 8, 2018
As I turn 27 within the next few days, I have been reflecting on how far I have come. I feel like as I get older I am a girl on a mission. I am more focus now more than over, I feel very centred in where I am in life and feel very content with it. Don’t get me wrong I continue to strive for so much more and my ambition is only growing. But I have come to understand that you really have to be ok with where you are now in life to prepare yourself for what is coming ahead of you.
26 has still been a fun age and I have grown so much, the wisdom that I have now makes me cherish any pain or misfortune that I have experienced in the past whether personally or professionally. I have come to realise It is all about of my journey.

Girl On A Mission Girl On A Mission

As I go into my 27th year of life, I now know that as much as you plan your life it will never be linear and anything can happen. What I am sure of is the key goals I want to achieve. I am so sure of visualisation and verbally proclaiming your blessing ahead of time, as things really become what you speak. To give an example. I wrote in my journal at the beginning of 2017 that I would love to write for Marketing week, by November 2017 I was on Marketing Week as a marketing guest on tier podcast. And It didn’t even stop there. In March 2018 they reached out again and asked to contribute to an article and out of all the speaker my name and image was used as the main marketer for this article, giving me and my initiative so much coverage and awareness. This was all completely beyond what I thought I could achieve. And it all started with a ‘mustard seed’ approach by writing down one small goal.

Girl On A Mission – Entering Chapter 27

I really am a girl on a mission, my dreams are so big that it scares me! But I am so excited about it because it is exciting, daunting but all amazing. We have one life and I am committed and focused on assuring I fulfil my purpose and enjoy what I have been blessed with. I have amazing siblings and family, a strong solid friendship that are basically family and an amazing partner. Cheers to the 26 years and 27 I am ready for you!

Microblading By Raffinola

October 9, 2017

For the love of beauty, I stepped outside of my comfort zone and I got a Micro blading treatment done by Raffinee by Lola. I was a little bit scared at first, as I didn’t know anything about the treatment and what it entails but Lola talked me through every step of the way and I am so happy with my results and now have the perfect eyebrows for my face.

My before and after picture below

The Process of Microblading

The microblading eyebrow treatment takes up to 2 hours to perform. Following the treatment, the healing process can take up to 2 weeks. In order to get the best results and to ensure better pigment retention, a top-up is recommended 4 to 6 weeks after your initial treatment.

The treatment is done using a very fine blade (made up of 10-16 tiny, fine needles configured into a blade shape) to deposit pigments into the epidermis. The strokes appear and remain crisp and extremely fine. The area where the treatment is applied is numbed using a numbing gel.

The pigments used in this method have been formulated to match your original eyebrow color, and if the eyebrows are still present, blend perfectly into the existing hairs.

The results can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years, depending on different factors such as clients skin type, sun exposure, chemicals contained in creams and beauty products applied to the skin which could fade and break down the pigment sooner etc.
It does look amazing and now my eyebrows are perfect all the time as I have perfect eyebrows

The Tongo’s Take Mykonos!

October 8, 2017

I have had the best summer this year by far, It ended perfectly with a trip to Mykonos, with my family. My brother got married and it was one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had.

Mykonos

More than ever on this trip I was filled with such happiness being surrounded by my family and friends that I care and love. This time and experience were so fulfilling, enjoying people, the beautiful island of Mykonos and the build-up to the wedding.

Mykonos Mykonos

I wanted to share some of my time in Mykonos, but I realized going through pictures on my camera that they were more pictures of the beautiful scenery, but not as much of my outfits and my family. I shared more of my day to day fashion looks via my Instagram.

Mykonos Mykonos

I do have a lot of video content and will be sharing on my youtube channel, so please do subscribe and keep a look out for it 🙂

You may have realized that I haven’t blogged as frequently as I normally would. I took some time out in August & September to chill with family and seek deeper inspiration from life and not from social media. I always want to honor my morals and values and share with you my view on life, fashion, and career. As they say, Stella has got her groove back and will be updating my blog as I have some cool content coming up!

5 Days In Morocco

July 10, 2017

5 days in paradise, 5 days with my love, 5 days in Morocco.

5 days In Morocco, felt like 5 days in serenity! It was an amazing holiday embracing the culture, new experiences, food, and language. And I want to share it with you and let you know about all the fun things you can do in Morroco.

Day 1

Day 1 is always an open day as you just arrive and settle in. Well, we did just that and more. Starting with our hotel, we stayed at the Dellarosa Hotel, in the center of Marrakesh. It is a small boutique hotel which was really cute and simple. It had a modern Moroccan decor hotel, which was really beautiful. The only downside was our hotel room decor was a dark brown, which wasn’t great for capturing makeup tutorials because t was too dark. Another not so nice experience was the breakfast the options were not too great. But other than that it was a lovely hotel, sometimes you take the good with the bad I guess. It was close to everything and everywhere, which was perfect for us!

To round up on day 1 – We went for an afternoon walk and had lunch/dinner then relaxed in the pool at our hotel and in the evening went to Famous 555 Club. It really cool club that played everything I wanted to hear. I definitely recommend you going there (but don’t turn up before 12 pm they party until 5 am, so 1 am is like early)

Day 2

It was an early start for a tourist day! I finally got to visit Rue Yves Saint Laurent garden. I didn’t know that it was originally owned by an architect Jardin Majorelle and then it was Saint Laurent and Pierre Berge then bought it once Jardin Majorelle passed away. To me, it’s a romantic creative story all about the love of art. And when you can there you feel it and see it.

We also went to the Moroccan market. It felt so authentic being in the midst of it, hearing locals call me and boyfriend brother and sister. Hearing them persuaded to purchase whatever they had to offer. To be honest we enjoyed it and laughed with them as we walked by.

Day 3

5 days In Morocco

We got active!!! Definitely my boyfriends favourite day. We went Quad biking in the desert and then went camel riding. You can usually book these excursions through your hotel and it is really cheap and a full day experience. One to tick off the bucket list!

5 days In Morocco

Day 4

Was a more fun!! We went to a beach house day party, it’s called Famous Beach and owned by the same people that run Club 555 that we went to on day 1. It’s a beautiful mansion, amazing decor (great to capture content) with many pools, Dj, restaurant, and bar. Everything you need in one place to relax and enjoy the sun!

Day 5 5 days In Morocco

Ending our holiday on a high, we went for a beautiful walk enjoying the Moroccan city. It really is a beautiful city, cultural with so much to do and experience. I didn’t get a chance to go the atlas mountain, which is on my wishlist for the next time I go there.

5 days In Morocco

I will also be sharing my FIRST VLOG – from this trip. I’m a freshman with Youtube so bare with me as I get to grips with it.

All items I wore are linked for you to shop away too.

December 31, 2016

Favourite Fashion Moments and Lessons Of 2016…Well what a year 2016 has been!

Mesh Fits and Rip’s

December 1, 2016

Mesh fits and rip’s is all that it is, but it is impactful. Mixing and matching textures always results for a stylish, chic look. This is more of a cosy girl vibe that I am channelling but I like it. At the core of my style, feminine fits is home, but I always like to challenge myself to stretch myself with a new-normal.

I got these white ripped jeans from ASOSs not too long ago and I have worn them more than a doesn’t times. They are not so tight and not too baggy. Just right for the casual fit I have been looking for. I styled it with a mesh body from Wolford as it adds a sexy flare compared to just wearing general T-shirt. Of course Vans is the ultimate cosy fit footwear that works with everything so I threw them on, as I wear them most of the time.

Black and white is classic and perfect colour combo for this London winter. It is so cold, I can’t express it enough!

Random Thought – Authenticity

In the social world that we live in, it seems so easy for people to get caught up, follow suit and becomes sheep! I say this because as bloggers and influencers becoming the ‘in’ thing. People see this as easy and try to do anything to fit in and perceive the same image, lifestyle. Or even more commonly, get instant gratitude that the likes of Instagram gives people.

For me personally nothing feels more liberating that enjoying who you are and what you stand for. Not wanting to confirm and stand firm behind your beliefs, contrary to what may be popular or popping on the ‘gram’. Purpose over popularity! This is the key, in everything you do, embody and stand for purpose. That ignites authenticity and stability in that. With that being said…Please NEVER believe the hype!

Be Free!

August 16, 2016

Another style post but more importantly a post with a message and its simple be free! Do not allow yourself to be defined by your job or your title, how many hustles you have going on and a big one for this millennial generation, ‘what do you do?’

You is just enough before any of these additional applications come into play. I, myself recently experienced this. I would hold onto my job title, who and what I was affiliated with to feel like I’m on the level of where I am supposed to be as the next 25 year old girl. When things changed I then questioned everything! Who am I, people asked me questions and I couldn’t answer as they were questions linked to being defined by my title or job and I didn’t have that so I was like well….nothing. But it is not true, you will always have an answer, right in front of them, and it is yourself!

Be free and own being yourself, it is the most freeing discovery ever, and as a result things have fully changed and changed for the better and opened up a bigger sense of purpose, just from a result of owning being me. So be free, except who you are and never let another person, job, or anything define you. You define yourself and that is the most freeing thing ever!

So my style post is me, Olivia Gold, being free in a green mini dress, YSL heels and Levi denim jacket.

God is good and he will always show you the light!
