Spring Is Here Or Nah?

March 15, 2017

It’s Mid-March and I hope that means spring is here. But I won’t hold my breath, London is very temperamental and before you know it we are in a season of constant rain. Winter is boring now, wearing jumpers is annoying and the cold is quite depressing. Spring is cooler, you can enjoy the day for longer and for me, personally it makes me happier and positive.

I’ve been really keen on spring because I want to play with colour & be more confident with a variety of shades that I choose. So basically I need the sun to give me a an excuse to wear red trousers and a pink shirt (that is quite a colour combo trend for summer FYI)

Last year I kept it safe. Neutral colour palettes are the staple pieces in my wardrobe currently. Even though that is cool, it feels very bland and safe. To be honest that is not the space that I am in at all. I want to experiment with my style, push the envelope (within remit lol).

So when I saw these red flare trousers from Zara I was like yassss, there so classy, a real staple piece. The top is also a hot piece too, the puffer sleeves giving me vintage Vivienne Westwood, Oscar De La Renta, I love it. When I saw it I was thinking £20.00 for a luxury look and feel sold!

So I guess this is a start, again sticking to building a classic wardrobe whilst incorporating colour. I definitely will be sharing more colour, shapes and fun vibes!

Mesh Fits and Rip’s

December 1, 2016

Mesh fits and rip’s is all that it is, but it is impactful. Mixing and matching textures always results for a stylish, chic look. This is more of a cosy girl vibe that I am channelling but I like it. At the core of my style, feminine fits is home, but I always like to challenge myself to stretch myself with a new-normal.

I got these white ripped jeans from ASOSs not too long ago and I have worn them more than a doesn’t times. They are not so tight and not too baggy. Just right for the casual fit I have been looking for. I styled it with a mesh body from Wolford as it adds a sexy flare compared to just wearing general T-shirt. Of course Vans is the ultimate cosy fit footwear that works with everything so I threw them on, as I wear them most of the time.

Black and white is classic and perfect colour combo for this London winter. It is so cold, I can’t express it enough!

Random Thought – Authenticity

In the social world that we live in, it seems so easy for people to get caught up, follow suit and becomes sheep! I say this because as bloggers and influencers becoming the ‘in’ thing. People see this as easy and try to do anything to fit in and perceive the same image, lifestyle. Or even more commonly, get instant gratitude that the likes of Instagram gives people.

For me personally nothing feels more liberating that enjoying who you are and what you stand for. Not wanting to confirm and stand firm behind your beliefs, contrary to what may be popular or popping on the ‘gram’. Purpose over popularity! This is the key, in everything you do, embody and stand for purpose. That ignites authenticity and stability in that. With that being said…Please NEVER believe the hype!

Boy Meets Girl

May 6, 2016

Not so long ago I was getting really irritated when I would wear tops that were of a tight fit. I wanted to feel comfortable and anything tight was not the best option. Honestly all I wanted to wear were loose fit t-shirts or tops that I could just throw on roll out when I needed to head out. This post is an outfit I constantly repeated (I have no shame to admit I repeat) that is what clothes are for!

I got hooked to wearing this cute, stripy Adidas T-shirt, with Zara leather culottes. It was easy, comfortable and very boy meets girl vibe. Most time I did honestly pair the look with Adidas trainers (all white superstars) to be exact. When I did wear this outfit with heels it was always a simple sandal heel that added a simple chic feminine affect.

I really enjoy easy outfits that you can throw on and walk out the door, knowing that you look bomb with the least amount of effort. What’s your go to quick outfit? I may need to borrow your looks next!
