Vintage Levis – The Never Ending Denim Stable

August 22, 2018

Vintage Levis are the most practical and diverse stable pieces of clothes to have in your wardrobe. The best thing is, you can get on eBay. That is where I have bought all of my Levis products.

Shopping On eBay Levis

Since I have been making more of a conscious effort to buy items that last and that are very versatile. Denim has always been the one thing that you can get the most wears out of and work for ALL occasions. This year I had to purchase a new pair of denim shorts, as I have put on a bit of (happy) weight over the last 6 months and needed to get a bigger size. I did not want to spend £50 on another Levi and remembered easy it is just to get a second-hand pair from eBay. The newly purchased shorts cost me a total of £12 including packaging. Bargain!

It made me realise how handy it is to purchase off eBay, as you can get a really good steal of there. I also have purchased vintage Levi vintage denim jacket which was only around £25, it has that old feel, which makes it even more perfect.

LevisLevis

I styled the shorts with a sand oversized blouse from Zara which has crochet detailing. A real summer casual day outfit. I spent the rest of the day walking around London and going for lunch with my Boyfriend. Summer days are always better when you spend time outside and explore where you are in the sun.

My summer go-to heeled sandals have been these white sandals from Topshop. They too also work with most looks and are very comfortable. I have linked where you can get these from directly.

How To Style Wide Leg Pants – 2018 looks! Chic, casual & cool

How To Style Wide Leg Pants – 2018 looks! Chic, casual & cool

On my Instagram, I shared my 2018 style muse is kahlana Barfield Brown. She is the queen of layering and wearing wide leg detailed trousers. I fell in love with her style have added her vibe to my mood board.

I haven’t done much shopping this new year sale as I didn’t really see anything that I wanted to add to my wardrobe. Which is unfortunate as a shopping geek. But what caught my eye, were these Zara stripe trousers that were completely giving me Khalana vibes. So I had to purchase. Continuing with my casual, chic comfort theme, layering has been a really cool way to play with colours, patterns, and my personal style.

Being a curvy girl (slim thick) you can get caught up trying to dress for your shape, making sure you hug the right places. But after a while, that can get a bit boring and played out. I think the Fashionva girls have got that covered (no shade, as I genuinely love my curves and showing them). But this is why I was so drawn to kahlana, she plays with bigger shape trousers, oversized t-shirts or jumper and kills it with a killer heel. It is the perfect balance of casual cool for a girly girl.

So I’m starting to purchase wide length bottoms that have detail, such as the stripe in these. I hope to find more and will document this journey on my Instagram, so make sure that you are following me. keeping it simple, I paired these with an oversized shirt and a leather jacket. I was even thinking if I wanted to add more ‘spice’ to this look, it would be super chic if I put on a beige/taupe waistcoat.

How To Style Wide Leg Pants? Now you guys know my vibe for 2018!!!

Winter Colour Block – Mixing Textures and Colours Autumn 17

October 12, 2017

The afternoons are getting shorter and the evenings are getting longer, which means winter is here. I am easing my way into my winter wardrobe by mixing textures, colours. I am leaving towards comfortable looks which are still feminine, flirty and casual. As I get older my tolerance for the cold gets less and less. I can feel it in my bones more (basically I’m getting old lol).

Introducing you to my winter wardrobe

Winter Colour BlockWinter Colour Block

I brought back my pink fluffy jumper I got from H&M last winter, which I bought 2 sizes bigger, so it has that sung feel and drops on me like a hanger. I colour block this jumper with a satin finish rouge red A-line skirt, also from H&M. I love the clash of red and pink, it is a strong combination and really stands out, but also fits with the winter feel because of the clash of textures.

Adding some sass to this look I wore gold River Island heels that I have had for years that look identical to Aquazzara but are not lol. What I love about this look is, you can easily switch the heels with trainers and wear a pair of Stan Smiths and still look just as good.

So as I start to pull out my winter favourites, let me know what you would like to see and what your winter comfort go too’s?

Keeping up or staying True to you? Let’s discuss!

A conversation that me and my friends have been having as of lately has been about style. Today so many trends are popping up, as fast fashion is getting faster, it’s like playing catch-up. But then don’t you think sometimes that you start to lose your sense of personal style! To be honest I think that’s what happened to me at the end of 2016. I was trying looks that I actually wouldn’t wear and it was difficult to put certain looks together.  Now I am taking it back to basics and working with what naturally is my core style and inspirational sources and iconic fashion brands that I love!

For example, Farfetch have a style guide segment on their site which talks about various different style habits and trends that refers back to adapting to your personal style. A big one for me that I have got inspiration from is ‘What To Wear With White Jeans. I LOVE wearing white. It is clean, classic and goes so well with everything. A style guide on this is a great go to help for me to style my white jeans with various looks.

Fashion is always evolving and you may not have the time or money to be trying to keep up with. This is where style comes in and using what you have to re-create amazing looks that embodies what your style is. Not what’s just hot for now!

I speak to myself here and you too, let’s bring it back to basics and build out style, so that when we look back. We will be telling our kids, look child I was so hot in my twenties, I know about fashion take a look here! That is going to be such a funny time In many years to come!

Net tights, Net bodies and Net Lace! The Fashion Style Accessory For SS17

February 22, 2017

The phenomenon style accessory for SS17, Net Fashion Tights and Bodies. It is an affordable accessory that is edgy and adds a personal sassy touch to an outfit. Before we get to the stage of being sick of every everyone it. Let’s appreciate it for a minute lol becuase I love it!

You can imagine how excited I was to receive this amazing Net Lace from Wolford. Made from Polyamid and nylon the varying net looks ensure that the feminine silhouette is put in its best light. The minimalist finish is created through fashionable three-quarter sleeve. And in a thong briefing style for a sexy finish!

The Net Lace Body Is one of my favourite pieces from the Wolford’s ss17 trend collection. From what we know of the brand, luxury basics and classic staple pieces that are timeless additions to your wardrobe. With this particular body it adds a innovative flare to the selection of trend options. The sexy, stylish top also attracts a younger demographic to the brand (like me).

Relaxing at the Dorsett Hotel, Luxury Suite. The modern and minimal decor was a great juxtaposition atmosphere to capture my outfit. Keeping it cosy but feminine I wore boyfriend fit white jeans, (to be honest I wished the trousers had abit more baggy FYI) along with my caged BCBG Maxazria heels. I mixed patterns to capture the fun details of the top with what would be my go to pickings, heels and trousers lol.

Retailing at £200.00 the Net Lace String Body is a pricey for a body but with the quality and the versatile style, it is something you will wear more time than you know. If it’s a staple piece my opinion is to purchase it.

Double Up With Flare Denim

January 15, 2017

One of my newest purchases is a paire of denim flares. I am currently loving denim especially flared denim! It is a sassy upgrade to regular pair of jeans, adding some variety. I saw these jeans on Miss Guided and I instantly gravitated towards the flared detail at the bottom. And I also bought a fringe shoulder jumper from Zara. I thought it was a perfect outfit combo to put together that works well. Simple sexy and sassy. (I didn’t mean to rhyme here lol)

I want to really enjoy the process of evolving whether it is on trend or not and build key staple piece that will last forever in my wardrobe. This explains my first style post of 2017 that I want to share with you and hope it inspires you to get back to your core style essence and just enjoy building your core wardrobe!

Personal Style – For me personally this year I want to not compromise my style and just be me. I think sometimes as a blogger you feel to follow trends. Sometimes it doesn’t always fit well with your individual style. And that is OK!

For example flare trousers may not work for you but you can take some inspiration by the colour palette of the look. Or perhaps switch the flare for baggy jeans or a skinny fit. Nothing never has to be taken as identical but if there is an aspect of my style that you gravitate too, then I am doing something right here LOL.

I also want to share my health and fitness journey with you guys too!

Fall Shimmer – Keeping chic and sassy during winter!

November 3, 2016

Carrying on with my comfortable style winter looks, I came across this stunning shimmer, glittery jumper dress from Zara. It is such a beautiful one piece that you can throw on and feel glam.  I did wear this out with ripped jeans and it looked very chic. For you guys I wanted to style it with velvet boots.

I don’t usually wear much glitter and shimmer dressy looks but I had to, when I saw this jumper dress. Pairing the dress with a diamond look choker, it really adds sass and chic styling to the overall look. Of course ankle boots are a huge trend this winter and I am really into chunky comfortable heels, so it was an easy decision to purchase these boots!

Fall Trends This Season is…

Keeping it simple and comfortable for the winter adding a bit of shimmer, glitz and glam can sass up any everyday outfit.

Last winter I actually put together a cool casual look here too.

I actually have a few favourite winter looks from last year, so I am going to share with you another few of my top 2015 winter style post:

Starting with Black 101, as its states an all-black casual look wearing my favourite Nike high top air forces. Thirdly an all grey look featuring Schuch knew high boots which I still wear today!
