Fresh Vibes

Fresh vibes is what I’m embodying at the moment, I got braids done recently which I love taking me back to 1999 when wore braids to primary school. Speeding up to February 2016 I am having a braids moment again, embracing fresh vibes, fresh style and good energy!

This past weekend I went to London Fashion Week #LFW, which I haven’t been inspired to go for the past few years, I don’t feel its a must to go unless you have a key purpose to be there. On this occasion my good friend Ngoni debut her collection, which I was super excited to see as she has been working really hard. So after checking out her beautiful presentation, I chilled with my girlfriends, cooked some food and then went to a friend’s house in the evening to eat more and be merry lol. I wore the Hana skirt from The Line By K, now turned designer Karla Deras who is of my favourite fashion bloggers! When she released her first collection, I saw the Hana skirt which suited my personal style, i went ahead and bought some of my favs (boo to custom charges though)!

Black 101

Sometimes nothing is more sharp and clean then wearing black. While i have been running around with family recently, nothing other than black has been my go to.

Always remember it is not what you wear but how you wear it, be comfortable and feel free. In saying that since last year I have enjoyed wearing trainers, they are very comfortable and i have grown to love more masculine, tom boy pieces and styles the more i wear trainers. It has been infused into my day to day casual outfits, If you catch me around London you will most probabaly see me in trainers.

I am embracing my authentic self in what i wear, how i feel and what makes me happy. So I hope you will start to see that through my blog post. I do not wear heels everyday even though I would love too, that is not my reality and if you follow me on Snap chat: Olivia_gold you will see more of my causal day to day outfits. FYI I have joined Snap chat: Olivia_gold FOLLOW ME you will see my personality, my family and my everyday life!!! I am not used to sharing myself with the world but now i am embracing me and my world and sharing with those who have been following me for a long time now.

Peplums Back

With the Oscars and Sag awards recently being the talk on all things fashion, i was lucky to be given the chance to pick a Boohoo dress of choice that resembled the essence of a red carpet attire to wear and style. Keeping my look classic with a black evening dress and strong peplum detail at the bottom the Haley Crepe Peplum midi dress won. I haven’t always been a peplum skirt or dress kind of girl but when I saw this dress, I absolutely loved it! It compliments my curves and adds character to a simple black dress. The cut out detail is where you get a sexy twist to the dress which I love.

La Fatal

Happy New Year!!

We are now in 2016, new year, new vibes!

The Fatal dress is a special one in my wardrobe, the first time I wore one was September 2014. I bought the dark green colour-way for a friends birthday and it was on sale, which i was super happy about. When it arrived and i tried it on, it fit and felt so good. I thought ‘I need to Invest in all the colour’s. Well luckily enough the lovely Wolford team sent me the Fatal dress but not just in any colour, a limited edition coral! It is unfortunately sold out but girls this colour is so dope , i wore it on holiday and will be wearing it this coming summer! It compliments my complexion really well and adds a glow as the colour bounces off my skin tone.

The Fatal dress is a renowned dress for multi styling, It is sensually soft, made of exclusive velvet material with a seamless knitting technique for a detailed tailored finish. They have a huge range of colours to choose from, even though this particular colour is sold out there are other beautiful shades to choose from (a personal favourite other colour is Mocha). You can see my little rolls and flaws, but I’m human and a real women so i’m sharing it all with you lol.

Grey Winter

The weather has been very inconsistent lately, one minute it feels like an Indian summer with some sun and then it gets extremely windy, on this particular day it was very windy! I was gifted grey over the knee high suede boots from Schuh to celebrate the Christmas season. I have been looking for a similar pair of boots that resemble the Stuart Weitzman classic knee high boots as those are way out of my budget. Schuh’s selection were the perfect alternative! I kept warm and styled the boots with a grey jumper and grey coat keeping in with the grey colour pallet theme.

I can’t believe it’s the end of 2015, another year has passed. This year has been a year of growth, experiences that are invaluable and lessons that have been difficult but I pushed through. As much as I feel like I am not where I want to be and haven’t reached my fullest potential, I am more than grateful for my current achievements with my blog, my career and my personal life. I have laughed more than I have cried, I have taken more risks than have been safe and I have leaned on God more than leaning on worldly things. There are still battles I deal with but with God anything is possible. Sometimes it is hard to be happy with where you are because you want so much more for yourself but I am learning to enjoy the moment and enjoy the journey, I hope you will too for your life!

A BIG THANK YOU to each and every one of you who have supported my blog and liked any of pictures on socials, emailed me with such positive words, it is greatly appreciated. The more I achieve I will continue to help others through advice and by any means necessary! I can’t wait to show you and launch what I am currently planning, as I have realised my talent is bigger than me and I want to do my best to share and help others!

2016 – I plan to do what I said I would do, with the guidance and blessing from the man upstairs and continue on the road of being the best version of me and living the fullest life possible of course in style!

KHAKI SEASON

Lately I have been into a warm, green, khaki colour palette. For date night a few week’s back I put on this ensemble which turn out really cute, subtle and sexy for dinner and some shisha. Khaki is a very chic colour to wear in the winter; it stands out without being too loud. I wore a mixture of khaki tones with black for a classic and simple mix but spiced it up with a leather jacket for an edgy appeal to finish it off.
