Boy Meets Girl

May 6, 2016

Not so long ago I was getting really irritated when I would wear tops that were of a tight fit. I wanted to feel comfortable and anything tight was not the best option. Honestly all I wanted to wear were loose fit t-shirts or tops that I could just throw on roll out when I needed to head out. This post is an outfit I constantly repeated (I have no shame to admit I repeat) that is what clothes are for!

I got hooked to wearing this cute, stripy Adidas T-shirt, with Zara leather culottes. It was easy, comfortable and very boy meets girl vibe. Most time I did honestly pair the look with Adidas trainers (all white superstars) to be exact. When I did wear this outfit with heels it was always a simple sandal heel that added a simple chic feminine affect.

I really enjoy easy outfits that you can throw on and walk out the door, knowing that you look bomb with the least amount of effort. What’s your go to quick outfit? I may need to borrow your looks next!

Blue Vibes

April 28, 2016

While I was away in Barcelona, which is one of the best city’s in Europe by the way! I bought this light blue top that looked really cute from Berksha for like £15.00. I paired this with a denim skirt feeling the light summer blue tones.

When the sun comes out I love to experiment with light, pastel tones and I felt really comfortable and sexy in this outfit. Completing my look with my ultimate favourite heels, my YSL Jane sandals, chic and sexy, as I like it.

What’s your summer vibes that you are into this year?

Spring Season

April 22, 2016

When spring begins I always feel a sense of excitement and happiness. The sun tends to bring a feeling of relaxation, which is needed!

With more sunny days ahead I have been trying to keep to my style objective, experimenting with brighter and fun colours. I think I am doing ok so far (always room for improvement)! I paired a nude mini leather skirt, with a black silk cami and a white blazer. I actually miss wearing a blazer, it really completes for a simple, classy and chic look. To add some edge I wore black open toe cut-out knee high boots which I got for £35.00 from £120.00 in Topshop’s mid-season sale! I was super happy and surprised by the final price, what a steal! If you are looking for seasonal gems, I think now is a good time to get shopping.

My advice – Get summer glam ready but on a budget, dont spend more than you need to.

Power In Simplicity

March 30, 2016

Simplicity can reference many things in your life, such as style, purpose, approach and beliefs. I’ve learnt over the last few years to keep my goals and mind-set simple, which helps you to flow through life sustaining your focus and reducing moments of anxiety. (Remember you can’t pray and worry at the same time!). I know sometimes it is easier said than done but this is a mantra that comes with practice, discipline and time. Do not let worry override in your mind and heart.

I also use this approach when it comes to fashion. Not thinking too hard and dressing for how I feel in that moment in time, so that I keep the process simple and fun! When I do that, I always end up putting together the finest outfits.  Fashion is best when its fun and just becomes a part of you instead of you trying to be apart of the hype. Do you as you do that best.

Same Jeans, Same Day, Different Moment!

March 14, 2016

Following from my last post, sharing some pictures I took from last week again, I was out all day and all night attending a few events but when I went out later that night, I changed into something a little dressier to fit the occasion. Keeping on the same jeans and heels, i swapped my cream jumper for a Wolford body and a vintage cardigan from my Mothers collection.

I must not be the only one that does this? Do you swap from day to night?

Casual Comforts

March 10, 2016

It’s still very cold in London, and I can’t go out without wrapping up! Being comfortable, cosy and warm is a necessity for me nowadays. I remember when I was in a teenager and I could just go out with cardigan and just deal with the sharp wind but now, no no no!

Jumper and jeans have been my go to as of recent, I like feeling warm, comfortable butdressing girlly and chic. This weekend I went to a new magazine launch called Signature’s magazine, a new art publication showcasing the best of Africa’s artist, check them out. I also when went on a late date night with bae and had the best fried fish ever! Yes I am a seafood girl. I was out all day and night on Saturday and this combo really worked for me. I felt, sexy and most importantly warm!

The best thing about a pair of nice jeans and classic heel is, whatever top you wear it will always look cute because you have the balance of casual and dressy all in one.

Fresh Vibes

February 24, 2016

Fresh vibes is what I’m embodying at the moment, I got braids done recently which I love taking me back to 1999 when wore braids to primary school. Speeding up to February 2016 I am having a braids moment again, embracing fresh vibes, fresh style and good energy!

This past weekend I went to London Fashion Week #LFW, which I haven’t been inspired to go for the past few years, I don’t feel its a must to go unless you have a key purpose to be there. On this occasion my good friend Ngoni debut her collection, which I was super excited to see as she has been working really hard. Her collection is a really cool, sleek, and minimal but sharp collection. Check it out here www.Wearekin.co!

So after checking out her beautiful presentation, I chilled with my girlfriends, cooked some food and then went to a friend’s house in the evening to eat more and be merry lol. I wore the Hana skirt from The Line By K, now turned designer Karla Deras who is of my favourite fashion bloggers! When she released her first collection, I saw the Hana skirt which suited my personal style, i went ahead and bought some of my favs (boo to custom charges though)!

Karla Deras – “I made this for you to be feel sexy and strong at all times” and I do!
